• Cash is King: For local deals, cash is the safest payment method. Avoid wire transfers or paying before you see the product.
• Check the Item: Test electronics, check documents for vehicles, and ensure the item matches the description before paying.
• Trust Your Instincts: If a deal sounds too good to be true (e.g., iPhone 15 for $200), it is likely a scam.

❌ Common Scams to Avoid

• Never Wire Money: Do not use Western Union, MoneyGram, or unprotected bank transfers to pay a stranger.
• No Shipping Scams: Be wary of sellers who say they are "traveling" or "in the military" and offer to ship the item after payment.
• Fake Checks: Sellers, beware of buyers offering cashier's checks for more than the item price and asking you to refund the difference.
• Phishing Links: Never click on links sent via SMS or email asking for your login or banking details.
