Rural communities in Karnataka face acute water scarcity due to climate change, erratic rainfall, and frequent droughts. WOTR successfully tackled this crisis through Integrated Watershed Development, treating 1,550 hectares of land and creating 223 million litres of water harvesting potential. This impactful work of water conservation in Karnataka has improved groundwater levels, promoted efficient agricultural water use, and strengthened rural livelihoods, reducing migration and raising long-term sustainability.
