If you are experiencing difficulties controlling ejaculation, where it happens too quickly and without control, then this is a real cause for concern regarding your sexual life. As we know, premature ejaculation is one of the most common sexual problems in men, with young, middle-aged, and older men all complaining about it. In this condition, the person has no control over their ejaculation, resulting in rapid discharge. Essentially, premature ejaculation is an orgasmic sexual problem in which a person repeatedly experiences difficulty controlling ejaculation, which occurs before they desire it, before achieving satisfaction, and before orgasm.
In today's session, we will talk about premature ejaculation, in which an imbalance of doshas is the main cause of this sexual problem. World-renowned Ayurvedacharya, Dr. Sunil Dubey, one of the best sexologists in Patna, Bihar, is a specialist in human sexual problems, sexology medical science, reproductive health, sexual behavior, and sexual orientation. He is a licensed Ayurvedic doctor and sexual healthcare professional who practices at Dubey Clinic and treats all types of sexual problems in both men and women. A notable aspect of this sexologist's work is his extensive research on various sexual problems in both married and unmarried individuals. After a decade of dedicated hard work and research, he has successfully developed medically proven and highly effective Ayurvedic medicines for these conditions.
How doshas are related to premature ejaculation?
Dr. Sunil Dubey says that in Ayurveda, premature ejaculation is described as Shukragata Vata, Kshipra Shukra Pravritti, or a form of Vata-predominant impotence. The main concept is the loss of control over ejaculation, which is primarily a disorder of the Vata dosha, with contributions from Pitta and Kapha depending on the individual.
As we know, the main principle of Ayurveda states that ejaculation is controlled by Vata. Whenever Vata is imbalanced, ejaculation becomes rapid, uncontrolled, and involuntary. Therefore, balancing the doshas in the body is not only crucial for sexual function but also essential for overall health.
Understanding the effects of Doshas on Premature Ejaculation:
Vata Dosha for Premature Ejaculation (Primary Cause):
As we know, Vata controls nerve impulses, reflexes, movement and timing, and ejaculation control (Apana Vata). When Vata is excessive, dry, or irregular, ejaculation occurs too quickly. There is no control over ejaculation.
Common causes of increased Vata:
· Anxiety, fear, performance stress
· Excessive masturbation or frequent sexual activity
· Irregular sleep, fasting, staying up late
· Excessive caffeine, smoking
· Increasing age
Symptoms of Vata-type PE:
· Ejaculation within a few seconds or 1 minute
· Poor control even before penetration
· Anxiety before or during sexual activity
· Weak erection with rapid ejaculation
· Low semen volume
· Dryness or cold sensation in the genitals
Ayurvedic perspective: Vata (dosha) creates movement without stability, leading to uncontrolled premature ejaculation.
Pitta Dosha for Premature Ejaculation:
As we know, Pitta controls heat, excitement, and metabolic intensity. When Pitta is elevated, it leads to increased sensitivity and heightened arousal, resulting in premature ejaculation.
Common causes of Pitta imbalance:
· Excessive spicy food, alcohol
· Anger, irritability
· Inflammatory conditions
· Liver imbalance
Symptoms of Pitta-type PE:
· High libido but premature climax
· Burning sensation during urination or in the genitals
· Excessive sweating
· Irritability after ejaculation
· Redness or heat in the genitals
Ayurvedic aspect: Excessive heat accelerates the ejaculation reflex.
Kapha Dosha for Premature Ejaculation (Least Common):
Kapha typically provides stability and endurance, so an excess of it rarely directly causes premature ejaculation.
When Kapha is involved:
· Weak tissues
· Obesity or diabetes
· Slow blood circulation
Symptoms:
· Premature ejaculation due to weak erection
· Low stamina
· Low libido
· Feeling of heaviness in the body
Ayurvedic perspective: Weak Kapha has inadequate support to tissues that causes poor control.
