Founded in 1983, Busy Bees is the largest and most comprehensive childcare services provider in the UK with close to 500 nurseries nationwide.

In Asia, we currently manage 10 successful early childhood education brands in Malaysia, Singapore and Vietnam, each with its own distinct strengths. Despite our rapid growth, we have always taken care to ensure that quality is improved upon with each new centre. Through more than 1,500 passionate educators and education professionals, innovative pedagogy, rigorous curricula, and the use of sophisticated educational technology, we are able to touch the lives of more than 7,000 students annually.

Andy joined Busy Bees in 2010 as a Senior Manager and has since been profoundly inspired by the impact Busy Bees has on every child under our care. Throughout his journey in Busy Bees where Andy covers several different portfolios, he and his team have expanded Busy Bees, both increasing the number of centres and enhancing the quality and diversity of our programmes to meet the unique needs of each child and family.

With more than two decades of experience specialising in optimising financial operations and driving digital transformation, Shirley first joined Busy Bees as finance director in 2012 before becoming our CFO in 2023. Her expertise in accounting, tax, and audit, coupled with a focus on automation, enhances financial performance and efficiency.

Shirley spearheaded a digital finance transformation, reducing manual work and supporting scalability. She developed and led a scalable finance team, facilitating expansion into new countries. Active in the finance industry, Shirley contributes to ISCA’s Young Finance Leaders team and Membership Growth Committee, ensuring Busy Bees’ sustainable growth and financial health.

Ken’s 30 years of experience in private education span higher education, K-12 international schools, and teacher colleges. Known for his visionary leadership and attention to detail, he is committed to providing the next generation with a strong foundation and fostering their passion for continuous learning. Ken’s dedication drives innovation and excellence in education at Busy Bees.

Helen joined Busy Bees Vietnam with over two decades of experience in education. As country COO, she leads business operations, curriculum development, product quality, and compliance, driving effective expansion and business strategies. Helen’s leadership realigned key brands and fostered consistent growth in Vietnam.

Her notable achievements include successfully relocating Busy Bees Vietnam headquarters from Hanoi to HCM and merging four brands into one unified company, achieving over 100 billion Vietnamese Dong in revenue. Helen fosters a motivated team culture, ensuring Busy Bees remains a top-of-mind brand in Vietnam.
