The assessment of candidates for the AAIA certification is based on their ability to demonstrate knowledge, skills and competence in a field related to an assigned certification. Although the format, structure and content of the exam may differ depending on the specific type of AAIA credential being awarded, most examinations will have at least two sections, each covering core competencies relevant to the specific credential. Additionally, most exams will contain a combination of multiple answer choices, scenario based questions and hypothetical case studies that measure candidates’ theoretical understanding and application of those concepts in a working environment.
