A Guest Faculty in Science and Humanities is a temporary, expert educator brought in by colleges or universities to teach specialized subjects, cover for regular professors, or bring real-world industry experience to the classroom. They are paid on a per-lecture or consolidated monthly basis without permanent tenure.
Core Responsibilities
- Teaching & Instruction: Prepare and deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical laboratory sessions for subjects like English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Sociology, or Economics.
- Curriculum Execution: Implement the institutional syllabus and adapt instructional strategies to meet the academic needs of engineering, arts, or science students.
- Student Assessment: Design tests, quizzes, and assignments; evaluate student performance, and provide constructive feedback.
- Mentorship & Guidance: Act as an academic advisor, counseling students on their coursework, strengths, weaknesses, and potential career paths.
- Institutional Support: Attend departmental faculty meetings, participate in workshops, and help organize seminars related to science and humanities.
